Stress x 100 = AAAGGGGHHHH!!!
So many questions and so little time. Who has the right answers? Of the business, taxes, and life stress I can handle the life stress. I am good at that. The others... I don't know. So many things are pointing to a different way of looking at the world. Ready to close the book on the past and start a new chapter. hopefully a better one. Things should become clear soon... Had some ice cream last night, oh and a few tortilla chips. Diet has been good. Did have a piece of bread this past week, and the cheats lastnight. Other than the occasional sweet tooth there isn't anything I am having a problem with anymore (paleo related). Missed the firefighter sprint tri this morning. I could not find anybody to work for me for a few hours. Jenn did it solo... yea Jenn! Glad I got to work out all week it really helps with the stress levels. I did get to do the 5k row...yuk my goal was under 20 and I think i did 1929 so that made me happy. Not feel too good , but happy. See all soon.

What is going on???
I can say that paleo is the only thing going right in my life right now. Been eating strict just not enough, i don't think. I have one more class this week and that will be out of the way. Then a state test. no biggie. The rest of the problems involve business, money, and taxes!!! Not in any particular order. I dont know if the no sleep, or the constant pit in my stomach is better? At least I have not used junk food as a crutch. I did use patron though!!!!! If you see me wandering around town drunk with a shopping cart, just don't let me wander into traffic (i might be tempted)... Need a couple good CF wods to work the stress right out! see ya

Week From HELL
Hey all, finally got to work out today did my front squats, new pr of 225. I will also post Patty's new pr of 118. She is girl scout camping all weekend. So I finished my class and took half the day off today to get some shit done. Will be at the Komen when I get off work. I had an ok week for food. Not enough that is for sure. I had a couple paleo margaritas, and I did have a couple stress induced brownies. Thought I was cured of the grabbing for the junk food for comfort. Well it is 98% better than it used to be. Well gotta go see all in the morning.

here it is in a nutshell
Work, 40hr class in 4 days, 2 presentations in 2 days, and I think my wife and kids are still around. Oh yea, I am supposed to be training for a tri. WTF!!! had a cheat meal last weekend (mexican) yum felt shitty all in one... haha Dont think I have trained, or eaten enough so far this week. Anyway look at the time just finished preparing 1 of my presentations, need sleep. I really will catch up soon. Miss all of ya. bye

Cheats
The first real cheats of the challenge. Fri night I had Mr. Mee's I ate so much sushi I thought I was gonna puke. Wow it was good though. Felt ok after that and thought we need sweets, good thing DQ sells mini blizzards... mint oreo yummmm! Well after the guilt set in, the stomach ache started. It was enough to make me go to bed...blah! Oh yea, had some wine too. Then Sat. night I had some wine and maybe some partial cheat food I dont remember. That was my cheat for the challenge. Now i will be on track until Nautica... None of the food I ate was really worth it except for the sushi. See all this week. Later

BLOG SLACKER
Ok, ok I know I am a blog slacker. I have not been a paleo slacker. I have been a CFE slacker. I did have a giant beer after the edison 5k, and sunday had a couple paleo cocktails, a couple oatmeal cranberry cookies, and I think that is it. I have been blah about doing my CFE's. Feel good for my daily wods, and I think I am a little leaner (hey I said a little) and maybe a little weaker...:( will be tweaking my training calendar for March. Only 43 days til Nautica. Wow I am scared. Have made a really good paleo meatloaf, and found that mashed turnips taste better than mashed potatoes. The "green wise" chicken sliders from Publix have been a staple the past week and a half. I love them. Will be dialing in all my meals soon so I know exactly what I will need for the Tri. Just two bites... Twice!
That is it I swear. I took all my wonderful girls to breakfast on Valentines. We went to Crave... Yum. Had a great omelette, then the craving struck. Wow their pancakes look and smell good. I had 2 bites of a pancake. Tasted good. We had a great day and some good food. Ribeyes for dinner, brussel sprouts. Then after dinner i had 2 bites of ben and jerry's half baked ice cream. YUMMMM. Stopped at 2 bites, could have been bad. Other than 2 bites twice, food has been good, but blah. Have not had time to organize thats why. We hit the gym this afternoon to make up today's wod. Work tomorrow see ya soon.

Weird Crazy Cult
I realized we are some weird crazy cult yesterday. I thought we were just a bunch of like minded individuals trying to achieve great health and performance. I went to Mother Earth the food store, not the spirit, and I looked around. I found the almond flour i had been searching for and decided it was time to checkout. I get to the counter. Place my two bags of almond flour on the counter, and the girl says, "oh you must be part of that challenge". "The paleo thingy". She said "yea I have seen a few of you". What does she mean by "you". I will not sit in the back of the bus that is for sure. Equal rights for paleo people everywhere!!!!

Week 2
Monday of week 2. Awesome. I have read how several people are draggin ass today. I am kinda glad i worked then. Sorry i missed the party, but glad i did not drink. Yesterday I had eggs, suasage, and pear for bfast. Spinach, arugula, chicken, and olive oil for lunch, then for dinner i had ribs, smoked beef, and grilled shrimp. OK, the ribs had a little bbq(i kept it to a minimum while cooking) and i had a small scoop of cole slaw. Had mac nuts though out the day for fat. That is it I swear. If you could have seen the cupcakes i had to fight off you would be proud. Homemade with homemade cream cheese icing!!! WTF!!! They smelled awesome.
Not a lot of sleep and i did the Fball dwod this a.m. along with "foul ball" my times were; 400-1:19, 400-1:18, WBS 1:55, 400-1:18, and 400-1:19...sucked! hopefully will do a 90min cfe on the bike today. I said hopefully! talk to ya soon, stay paleo.

Super Bowl Sunday
Usually filled with lots of beer, chips, dips, and wings. Not so much this year. First I am at work today. We are making ribs, smoked beef, and bbq shrimp. "meat-a-palooza", as named by the guys at the firehouse. I have already passed on pancakes for breakfast... I will try to keep my intake to meat and fat. Did bring a salad for lunch. Might have to have a cheat and have bbq sauce. YUM! No threat of having beer that is good.
Last night we made meat sauce with the gf beef, onions, peppers, and lots of garlic, used gia russa for the interest of time. then we served it on spaghetti squash... Wow that was an excellent dinner. The squash was awesome. It really felt like we were eating pasta. Actually it tasted better. Have posted most of my meals this week. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same and boring. the dinners have been posted. We did go to Outback... Steak and veggies. A couple vodka/soda/limes did find their way into my tummy.
Do like when Sat. mornings at the gym are busy with weight being dropped, and people fighting for space to do their wods.
Let's get ready for week 2.....

Tacos... Kinda
Day 1 sucked
Day 1 of the "this is so stupid challenge" (at least that is what i called it yesterday) I did the wod and went to work. All was fine and almost breakfast time. Then they said your off to Estero for a class. So I thought, ok i'll get something at publix for lunch... Well lunch rolled around and they said lunch will be served lets eat. I walk in and lunch was pan after pan of ooeeyy, goey, cheesy lasagna. WTF!!!! So, unable to leave i sat and watched a bunch of fat lazy firemen eat ooeeyy, goey, cheesy lasagna. Coffee and water were keeping my stomach fooled until about 5:30 when i finally got some chicken. Wow. A few hours of hunger made me think nasty thoughts. I guess the moral of the story is even when you think your prepared, your not. I finished the night with sauteed snapper and a spinach/arugula salad toped with guac. Today is going much better. I think i will make it...

Well, last time I did Karen, I did not call her the next day... In fact I never called her again. Honestly, between you and me, she was a real bitch. Yea we had a great fling. It was hot and heavy. Lots of sweating, moaning, panting..... you get the point. We GOT IT ON!!! For the record she left me laying there in a puddle of my own fluids. So no, I wasn't calling her back. I got what I wanted... (fast forward 10 months) Here I am going to the gym to be fit and healthy, when I walk in, and there she is. Yep, Karen. "Hi", she softly whispered. Trying not to be rude, I uncomfortably bark out a "hey", and continued my warmup. There was several minutes of secret glances. Followed by a few short moments where our eyes would meet and sharply turn away. Always wondering, did she notice? Finally, she made the move. She shoved aside all the heartbreak of our last encounter. Stepped over the fear of rejection, and came right up to me. "Shhhhh", as she placed her finger on my lips. "I have something to say, and your gonna listen." So I listened. After hearing how, like myself, she too had a hard time walking the next day. She also told me how all she can do is think of "us sweating again". She then laid it out there, "all I want is you one more time" she whispered in my ear. You know the whisper I mean. Mouth open, teeth together, almost aggressive. As I gazed at her in shock. She said, "its quiet here in the back room. let's do it here". I looked around and all was clear. That is when the tension broke.... I forcefully pushed her against the wall. Playfully, she pushed back, and we used a medicine ball to break our fall. From there everything gets crazy. All I know is that it ended with a bang.... As I lay gasping for my breath, I reached out for her hand. All I grasped was the cold dark floor. That's when I realized she had come back for revenge, and that's what she got. Well Karen if you are reading this somewhere I want you to know something....... I Faked it!

2010 "a little late"
Wow, it's the 5th already. Hope everyone had a great Xmas, and a great New Years. I have officially started my tri training. All is well so far. A few days of wods coupled with either strength, or CFE. Clean, Clean eating. Trying to follow Paleo 100%. Sorry I missed the Ruts on Sun. could not get off work in time. I went for a bike ride though. about 40 minutes, and I think I did 13.5 miles. Just getting used to my new bike will start pushing it on the next few bike wods. Excited for all that is going to unfold with this tri training. At work gotta go. blog ya later
